Policies
Clear, honest policies that protect you and support professional, ethical practice.
Cancellation Policy
48+ hours notice
No charge. Please cancel or reschedule as early as possible. This allows the time to be offered to someone else.
24–48 hours notice
50% of the scheduled appointment fee will be charged. This reflects the difficulty of filling short-notice cancellations.
Less than 24 hours / no-show
The full appointment fee will be charged. Emergencies and genuine illness are considered on a case-by-case basis, so please communicate as early as possible.
Repeat late cancellations or no-shows may require prepayment to book future appointments.
Late Arrivals
Running late?
Please let me know as soon as possible. Arriving late will reduce your treatment time, as appointments end at their scheduled time to respect other clients. The full fee still applies.
Privacy & Data Handling
What information I collect
Health history, contact details, and appointment records, collected via intake forms and secure booking software.
How it's used
Solely to provide your treatment safely and to maintain appropriate clinical records. Your information is never shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
How it's stored
Securely via Cliniko. Records are retained in accordance with relevant Australian health record legislation.
Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, your records at any time. To do so, contact me directly.
This policy is maintained in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
Professional Boundaries
Draping and consent
You will be fully draped at all times during treatment, except for the area being worked on. Draping will never be adjusted without your prior consent.
Respectful communication
I maintain a professional, respectful environment. Inappropriate comments, requests, or behaviour will result in the immediate end of the session and the full fee being charged.
Dual relationships
Massage therapy will not be provided to close friends, family members, or romantic partners, in line with professional ethical guidelines.
Informed Consent
Your right to know
You have the right to a full explanation of any technique before it is applied, and the right to refuse or withdraw consent at any point during treatment, with no explanation required.
Verbal and written consent
Consent is obtained both via the intake form and verbally at the start of each session. Consent is ongoing, and it can be withdrawn at any time.
Sensitive areas
Specific written consent is required for massage of the scalp, face, abdomen, and inner thigh/gluteal regions. These areas will only be included if clinically relevant and agreed upon.
These policies are subject to change. Current versions will always be available on this page. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Questions about any of the above?
Transparency matters. I'm always happy to clarify any policy or answer any concerns before you book.
